You can learn to love being on your own if you are brave enough to try it. Hey, I have news for you dear, love is not limited to men and marriage. And the one where a newly divorced middle-aged woman gets engaged after only one month of dating because, you know, she's not afraid of love. So what else could she be?) 2 scenes made me stop watching, the one where a new male doctor is hired and all the women gather in the waiting room to get a look. (You know because she's not beautiful and she's old and not looking to get married. There is an older (not so beautiful) woman who is not looking for a man and has been turned into a self-righteous, gossipmongering old bitty. (now that's a healthy relationship) The one unattached, yes another beautiful woman is very young.

I had hope for the one woman who chose to stay separated and independent until it turned out she was simply carrying a 20-year grunge against her cheating partner. Most of the townwomen seem to have been married forever. The scant single women are either beautifully widowed and grieving their husband's loss soon to be dead themselves, (because ya know, one can't live much beyond their true love) beautiful women looking to get married, beautiful and recently divorced women remarried in record time, or the single beautiful women who, though super accomplished, pretty much end up looking for a man. Then I started noticing the scant diversity, (though there is one black man who they carefully pair up with brown-skinned women) no gay people, nothing but man/woman pairings, a lot of them. If you love beautiful people and scenery you will like this show.
